These woodworking rasps are made by Narex Bystrice in the Czech Republic. Narex is a highly respected tool manufacturer and has been making exceptional quality edge tools for over 95 years. . The blades are made from tool steel and then hardened to RC 45. The blades are stitched with a CNC machine which produces a uniform tooth pattern and height allowing for a steady removal rate and an even finish. Handles are made from hard and dense European Hornbeam and are 1 ½” in diameter for a firm grip. Handles have solid brass ferrules. These are well-made rasps at a very reasonable price.
